This week our episode goes for about an hour, and to be honest we only scratch the surface of the stories our guest, Stan Barrett, has to tell. Not only has Stan lived a remarkable life — a stuntman with over 50 years experience. He’s also a race car driver who, in 1979, strapped into the Budweiser rocket car and broke the speed of sound — becoming the fastest man on land. But naturally, our conversation drifted to his friend and colleague Paul Newman. Stan worked as Paul’s stunt double over many movies, and they became fast friends. Stan also talks about the watches (and Volvo station wagon), Paul gave him over the years, and why he’s auctioning them off for charity.
